(i) Morphine is obtained from latex of Papaver somniferum. It has a sedative effect that slows down the body functions.
(ii) Cocaine Erytbroxylum coca is the plant from which cocaine is obtained. It disturbs the Central Nervous System (CNS) and interferes with neurotransmitters. It is a stimulant and produces sense of increased energy and happiness.
