Why propene polymerises in isotactic, syndiotactic, and atactic forms and which form of polypropene would be optically active?
Polypropene has chiral C-atom and therefore exists in different forms like isotactic, syndiotactic and atactic forms.
All forms of polypropene (PP) would exist in equal . amount of enantiomers with net specific rotation of zero. So, each form would exist as racemates.
