Why do we store silver chloride in dark coloured bottles which are also called as amber bottles?
Silver chloride reacts with sunlight to form black metallic silver. Silver chloride shows photode composition. This means, when silver chloride is exposed to light, it decomposes to silver metal and chlorine gas.
