Who is Alfred Wegerner? What were his theories? Explain them
Alfred Wegener was a German geophysicist and meteorologist.
He is known mainly for his theory of continental drift proposed by him in 1912. He forwarded that the continents were slowly drifting around the Earth. His hypothesis was not accepted until the 1950s when several discoveries gave evidence of the theory of continental drift and the actual causes.
