Who are the major functionaries in India?

Answer:
The major functionaries of our country are:

  • The President who is the head of the state and is the highest formal authority in the country.
  • The Prime Minister who is the head of the government and one who actually exercises all the government powers. He takes most of the decisions in the cabinet meetings.
  • The Parliament which consists of two Houses—Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Prime Minister must have the support of a majority of the Lok Sabha members.
