Nilotic people is a term used to describe all cultures that originated or settled along the Nile river. This includes many cultures and peoples from Luo, Sara, Maasai, Kalenjin, Dinka, Nuer, Shilluk, Ateker, and the Maa-speaking peoples. In general it is used a blanket term to group these cultures together although each of these peoples have their own culture, origin, and traditions.
