Which values are inculcated among political leaders through election and political competition?
Elections are all about political competition. This competition takes place among different political parties and their candidates. This competition should be free and fair as it is the way to select our future leaders. This election and political competition inculcate some values among the candidates.
These are:
- Do only what is good for people as the primary motive is social welfare.
- Driven by the desire to help people and face the consequence whether it is good or bad.
- Leaders should be honest, non-violent and patriotic with the feeling to serve the society.
- Avoid self-interest and dirty politics as it is not good for the democracy.
