What is observed when a solution of sodium sulphate is added to a solution of barium chloride taken in a test tube? Write equation for the chemical reaction involved and name the type of reaction in this case.
When sodium sulphate is added to Barium chloride it gives white ppt of barium sulphate " which is insoluble in water. The reaction also creates sodium chloride, which remains dissolved in water and so cannot be seen. It is double displacement type of reaction.
