A doctor found that his patient feels restless, does excessive salivation and has fear of water. He makes a diagnosis and prescribes antibiotics for the same and asks the patient to complain about stray dogs in his community to authorities.

  1. The disease is rabies which is caused by Rhabdovirus (Rabies virus).
    Mode of transmission - By the bite of a rabid animal (cat, dog or monkey).
    A method for rabies control is compulsory immunisation of stray animals.
