What is the function of the uriniferous tubule?

A kidney is composed of an enormous number of uriniferous tubules . They are also known as nephrons or renal tubules or kidney tubules . Nephrons are the structural and functional units of the kidney.

Functions :

  • Regulating the concentration of sodium salts and water by filtering the kidney’s blood.
  • Excreting any excess in the urine and reabsorbing the necessary amounts.
