what is main the difference between valence band and conduction band???
The Valence band contains the outermost electrons of the atoms. This is the band in which electrons have the highest energy.
The Conduction band is higher than that of the valence band. The electrons have energy sufficient to free from binding with its individual atom. Electrons in this band move freely within the atomic lattice of the material.
