When pollutants like sulphuric acid and nitrogen oxides released by burning fossil. Fuels and industrial waste present in the air, combines with droplets water in the air and comes down as rain; it is called acid rain.
Harmful affects:
- It reacts with building made up of marble and historical monuments like Taj Mahal.
- It makes the soil acidic which is not suitable for crops.
