What are salient features of slash and burn agriculture?
Ans;- Its salient features are as follow
(i) This type of farming is carried out by tribal communities in India.
(ii) Cultivation largely, depends on monsoon rains for irrigation, natural fertility of soil.
(iii) They grow only sedentary crops like cereals and other crops for their bare sustenance.
(iv) Land productivity is quite low as farmers do not use fertilizer and other modern inputs. •
