What are ‘nastic’ and ‘curvature’ movements? Give one example of each.

Nastic Movements: They are non-directional movements which show response towards stimuli like light, temperature, humidity. Direction of nastic movements is independent of direction of the stimulus for example, Opening and closing of flowers (photonatic response).

Curvature Movements: They include curving or bending of a plant in response to any stimuli for example, Curving of the stem tip towards light (due to auxin).
