What are fossil fuels? Write two disadvantages of buring fossil fuels.

Those fuels that were formed by remains of dead animals and plants that got buried deep inside the earth millions of years ago. Fossil fuels mainly contain hydrocarbons. Coal, petroleum and natural gas are fossil fuels.

Disadvantages of burning fossil fuels:

  1. The burning of fossil fuels produces smoke, leading to air pollution.
  2. Fossil fuels have a limited supply on the earth. They cannot be replenished at the same rate at which they are used.
