What are biodegradable and non-biodegradable detergents? Give one example of each class.
Biodegradable detergents are those detergents which are easily degraded by the micro-organisms and hence are pollution free.
For example, Soap, Sodium lauryl sulphate etc.
Non Biodegradable Detergents are those detergents which cannot be degraded by the bacteria easily and hence create pollution. For example, Sodium -4- (1, 3, 5, 7- tetra methyl octyl) benzene sulphonate.
