Classification and evolution are linked since the organisms show similarities and dissimilarities from each other. Similarities permit them to put in a group which dissimilarities keep them away apart. We study gram and classify them. Closely related species have more common characters. So they had a common ancestor. Therefore classification seem to be a reflection of their evolutinary relationships. Classification involves hierarchy or keys.
