Three boys A, B and C move from point O to point P by the three different paths 1, 2 and 3, respectively as shown in the figure.

  1. Which boy did travel the maximum distance from point O to point P?
  2. Which boy did travel least distance from point O from P?
  3. Which boy has maximum displacement?

  1. Because path 3 has the maximum path length among three paths. Thus, the maximum distance was travelled by the boy C.
  2. Because path 2 has the minimum path length among the three paths. Thus, the least distance travellled by the boy B.
  3. Since, initial and final positions of all three boys are same. Thus, each boy has equal displacement.
