Levels of management refer to a line of demarcation between various management positions in an organisation.

It can be classified into three categories:
(i) Top level management
(ii) Middle level management
(iii) Lower/Operational level management Functions of operational level are as follows:
(a) Plans day-to-day production within the goals laid down by higher authorities.
(b) Supervises and controls workers.
