State the role of placenta in the development of embryo.

Role of Placenta in Development of Embryo: After implantation uterus nurture and nourishes embiyo, its living becomes thick and blood supply becomes rich.

Embryo gets nutrition from plancenta through mothers blood. It is a special tissue. Placenta is a disc embedded in uterine wall. It has villi on embiyo side of tissue. Mothers side are blood spaces that encloses villi. Placenta is excretory, repiratory and provide nutrition to growing embryo/ foetus.
