State the role of atmosphere in climate control.

The atmosphere acts as protective blanket for the Earth. Since, it is a bad conductor heat, it keeps the average temperature of Earth fairly constant during the day and during the whole year. During the night, it cause the heat to escape into the outer space. Therefore, the Earth receives right amounts of heat at different times in a day due to the presence of atmosphere, which helps in climate control and allows living organism to exist.
