State the evidence we have for the origin of life from inanimate matter.

Origin of Life from Inanimate Matter : An experiment conducted by Stanley L. Miller and Harold C. Urey (1953) proved that origin of life occurs from inanimate matter. They assembled an apparatus to create an early earth like atmosphere which was supposed to consist of gases such as methane (CH4) NH3 (ammonia) and hydrogen sulphide but no oxygen over water. It was maintained at a temperature just below 100°C and sparks were passed through the mixture of gases to simulate lightning. At the end of a week, 15% of the carbon (from methane) changed into simple compounds of carbon. They included amino acids that unite to form molecules of proteins.
