Private Quelch was intelligent and constantly willing to learn and teach. Justify this statement with reference to The Man Who Knew Too Much’
reflecting on the values in his character.

Private Quelch borrowed training manuals and stayed up late at night reading them. This shows that he was constantly willing to learn more. He also used to clear up any soldier’s doubt about any topic, which shows that he was willing to teach and also the reason why he was called the ‘Professor’.
His intelligence is shown by his remarks when the Sergeant and Corporal Turnbull were conducting their lectures. Thus, the good values in his character are that he was very intelligent, always willing to learn and he could also teach others.
