Political ideologies can be popularised through schools. In this context explain how schools helped in spreading Nazism. Which social values were not respected during that period?

The features of the education imparted in Nazi schools are as follows :

  1. School textbooks were rewritten. Racial science was introduced to justify Nazi ideas of race. Even sports nurtured violence and aggression among children.
  2. Stereotypes about Jews were popularised even through mathematics classes. Children were taught to be loyal and submissive, to hate Jews and worship Hitler.
  3. Social values of brotherhood, tolerance, equality, cooperation, human dignity, were not respected. An individual was judged on the basis of race, caste and creed which is not socially justified.
