When few drops of acetic acid are dropped in the test tube containing following, then we observe:
- Phenolphthalein- acetic acid will remain colourless.
- Universal Indicator- gives orange colour with acetic acid.
- Distilled water- Acetic acid will dissolve in it forming a clear solution.
- Sodium hydrogen Carbonate- will give brisk effervescence due to the formation of CO2 gas.
