'Minerals are absorbed by plants through roots or leaves'

‘Minerals are absorbed by plants through roots or leaves’. Which mode of absorption do you think
is preferred by the plants?

Absorption of minerals is preferred through roots than leaves because most of the minerals are absorbed in the idnic form by the plant. So, only roots can absorb minerals by ion-exchange method. The xylem tissue then translocates the water from roots to the leaves. If they would he given through leaves, their distribution will not be efficient.
