Mention three main proposals with reference to Non-Cooperation Movement, as suggested by Mahatma Gandhi.

MAHATMA Gandhi felt that the British rule was established with the help of Indian people. If Indians refused to cooperate, British rule in India would collapse within a year. Gandhi proposed that —

  1. The movement should unfold in stages.
  2. It should begin with the surrender of titles that the. government awarded.
  3. A boycott of civil services, army, police, courts, legislative councils, schools and foreign goods.
  4. Then if the government used repression, a full civil disobedience campaign would be launched.
