(ii) shaving mirrors. List two reasons to justify your answer in each case.
(i) Rear view mirrors: Convex mirrors.
Reasons:
- Image formed is always virtual and erect.
- Image formed is always diminished in size, so it covers large view area,
(ii) Shaving mirrors: Concave mirrors.
Reasons:
- (a) Image formed is larger in size, so as to see clearly details of the object.
- (b) Image formed is virtual and erect when object is placed close to the mirror.
