JEE Main Syllabus 2020 For Paper 1 & Paper 2: Check JEE Main 2020 Syllabus With Weightage & Class-wise Distribution

JEE Main Syllabus 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2020 syllabus in the month of September 2019. The conducting body will release JEE Main syllabus for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the official website – jeemain.nic.in . The JEE Main Paper 1 has three sections, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JEE Main Paper 2 also has three sections, namely, Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing. The JEE Main syllabus is based on the syllabus of Class 11 and 12 as prescribed by CBSE. Candidates need to refer to the JEE Main 2020 syllabus for their JEE Main preparation. It is to be noted that there is no separate JEE Main syllabus for lateral entry and Diploma holder students.

JEE Main Syllabus 2020

Before getting into the details of JEE Main syllabus, it’s important to know that JEE Main has two papers:

Paper 1 – for admission to [B.Tech/B.E]
Paper 2 – for admission to B.Arch

Students preparing for engineering should opt for Paper 1 and those preparing for architecture should opt for Paper 2.

JEE Main Syllabus For Paper 2

JEE Main Syllabus for Paper 2 is tabulated below:

Part I Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).
Part II Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.|
