It is said that carbohydrates are more suitable for the production of energy. Justify the statement.

Carbohydrates are more suitable for the production of energy in the body than proteins arid
fats, because carbohydrate molecules contain relatively more oxygen than the others hence, require less molecular oxygen for oxidation. These are also stored in the body cells as glycogen and are used for the production of energy, whenever required.
