Is the form of govt. in India a federal form or a union form of govt

Is the form of govt. in India a federal form or a union form of govt. and why because all the power of the country is concentrated in the hands of the central govt.?

The Indian Constitution has both- federal and unitary features. We can also say that the Indian Constitution is fereral in form and unitary in spirit. It means that though the state governments have the right to administer their own states, the central governement can dismiss the state governenments under Article 356. Moreover, both the central and the state goverments can make laws in the Concurrent List, but in case of disagreements, the will of the Central government prevails.

These are some examples to show that Indian government is quasi federal in nature- state government is powerful, is elected by the people and derives its authority from the Constitution. But, important decisions regarding the foreign affairs, economy and defence of the country are taken by the Central governemnt.
