India lies in which climatic region ? Explain.

Regions or climatic zones are majorly equatorial, temperate, and tundra. As the latitude(imaginary line) Tropic of Cancer passes through India, it lies in the temperate region.

India lies in the tropical region. Due to India’s location in the tropical region, most of the rain is brought by monsoon winds.
Although only the southern part of India lies in tropical region, the whole of India has tropical climate.
Himalaya mountain ranges protect it from the northerly cold winds.
