How is growth in population expressed? Explain.
The Growth of population is the change in the number of inhabitants of a country during a specific period (mostly during 10 years).
The growth in population can be expressed in two ways
(i) Absolute numbers It is the magnitude of increase of population in a year or decade. It is obtained by subtracting the earlier population from the later population.
(ii) Annual growth rate It is the rate of increase of population. It is measured in per cent per annum.
