How does Mendel’s experiment show that traits are inherited independently ?

Mendel experimented on pea plants with two different characteristics like tall plant with round seeds and dwarf plant with wrinkled seeds. In the F1 progeny all are tall plants and have round seeds. Tallness and round seeds are hence called dominant traits. But in F2 progeny some are tall plants with round seeds and some were dwarf plants with wrinkled seeds. But some F2 progeny shows new mixtures some tall having wrinkled seeds. Hence, the tall/dwarf trait and round seed/wrinkled seed trait are independently inherited.
