INDUSTRIAL pollution degrades the environment in the following ways:

  1. Air is polluted by the gases.
  2. Dust, fume, waste, spray and smoke contains particles.
  3. Industrial effluents pollute river. Paper pulp, textile, chemicals etc. industries pollute land and soil, due to toxic contents.

Steps to control:

  1. Careful planning and setting of industries.
  2. Better equipments. Proper fuel selection and utilization. Use of oil instead of coal.
  3. Treatment of industrial liquids.
