Ways to prevent depletion of soil:
- Crop rotation: The practice of growing different crops having varied requirements are grown during different seasons on the same land, to prevent depletion of any particular nutrient from the soil.
- Field follow: The practice of leaving agricultural land uncultivated for one or two seasons. This helps the soil to regain its richness.
