How do plasmodium and Leishmania reproduce? Write one difference in their mode of
reproduction.

Leishmania reproduces by binary fission in a definite plane.

Multiple Fission: In this type of division, parent body divides into several daughter organisms. The nucleus of the cell divides repeatedly, producing many nuclei, e.g. (examples) are seen in several algae and in malarial parasite (plasmodium).

Binary Fission: “It is a division where parent organisms divides into two halves, each half forms an independent daughter organisms.”
Examples are Amoeba, paramoecium, Leishmania.
