How are plants and animals dependant on each other
Plants and animals rely on each other for many things. One idea is that plants are food sources for animals that are herbivores such as a rabbit. The animals that eat those herbivores, like a fox, are carnivores. Plants perform photosynthesis which is crucial to the survival of every organism on the planet including us humans. Through photosynthesis, plants provide a source of energy and a release of oxygen. Plants can also be a habitat for other species. The CO2 or carbon dioxide that animals exhale is a key ingredient for photosynthesis. Another way animals benefit plants are that when they die they decompose and put organic matter and nutrients back into the soil for plants to use. Animals can also help a plant disperse it’s seeds or act as pollinators.
