Forest and wildlife are vital to the quality of life and environment". Justify this statement by giving three reasons.
Ans. Forest and wildlife are important components of environment and contribute a lot to the quality of life.
The three reasons are
(i) Forest regulates the rainfall pattern a lot and on which agricultural practice depend and also depletions of forest brings natural hazards like flood, landslides etc.
(ii) Wildlife has specific but important contribution to the eco-system and maintain the complex web of ecological set-up. Depletion of wildlife affect the food chain, food web and promote unidirectional flow of food and energy which would collapse the eco-system in long-term.
(iii) Forest and wildlife are the part of our culture so the depletions of these natural beauties not only affect the biological aspects, but also the cultural aspects a lot and women and tribal are affected a lot.
