During assembly election in a constituency of 18 lakh people, ‘x’ number of people voted for candidate A, while √6 times of x people voted for candidate B and 10 lakh people did not go for voting at all. Find the value of x, using above information.
(i) Given, total number of people for voting=1800000
Also, given people voting for person A= x
People voting for person B =√16x = 4x
and people did not go for voting = 1000000
By using all the above informations, we get
1800000 = x + 4x +1000000
=> 5x = 800000
