Explain the term “Regeneration” as used in relation to reproduction of organisms. Describe briefly how regeneration is carried out in multicellular organisms like Hydra.
Regeneration: It is a process of reproduction that is asexual type. The full body is formed from the cut parts of organism for example; Hydra and Planaria.
Hydra Regeneration: Body of Hydra is cut into several pieces. Each piece regenerates whole body parts by growing the missing parts by growth and development. Cell of body cut part grow rapidly and these cells form various parts of body.
