Explain Mendel’s experiment with peas on inheritance of characters, considering only one visible contrasting character.
Mendel made his experiments on pea plant by taking 7 contrasting characters. He crossed a pure tall plant with a pure dwarf plant. The obtained generation was called F1 generation. All plants were tall in F1 generation. He selfed F1 to get F2 generation and got plants in ratio of 3 Tall : 1 dwarf.
