Discuss two relief features which influence the growth of vegetation in a region.

Land and soil are the two physical factors which influence the growth of vegetation in an area.
Land: Land greatly influences the natural vegetation. Because there are different landforms such as mountains, plains and plateaus, vegetation also differs accordingly. While fertile lands of the plains are used for agricultural activities, the grasslands are used for providing pastures for the animals.
Soil: Various kinds of soil support different vegetation. While alluvial soil is fertile and supports extensive agricultural activities, the sandy soil of the desert region supports cactus and thorny bushes.
