Differentiate between Unitary and Federal government.
Federal Government :
- A federation has two-levels of government. One is the government for the entire country. The others are governments at the state level.
- Both central and state governments enjoy their power independent of the other and are separately answerable to the people.
- For example : India.
Unitary Government:
- There is only one level of government or the sub-units are subordinate to the centre.
- The Ccentral government can pass orders to the provincial or the local government.
- For example: UK.
