Differentiate between Unitary and Federal government.

Federal Government :

  1. A federation has two-levels of government. One is the government for the entire country. The others are governments at the state level.
  2. Both central and state governments enjoy their power independent of the other and are separately answerable to the people.
  3. For example : India.

Unitary Government:

  1. There is only one level of government or the sub-units are subordinate to the centre.
  2. The Ccentral government can pass orders to the provincial or the local government.
  3. For example: UK.
