Differentiate between the arrangement of elements in Mendeleev’s periodic table and Modern periodic table.

Elements were arranged according to the increased atomic masses. Elements were arranged according to increased atomic numbers.
Position of isotopes was not justified in Mendeleev’s periodic table. There was no problem in placing of isotopes.
Hydrogen resembles both with alkali metals and halogens, and therefore, position of hydrogen was not justified. Hydrogen has been given a unique position due to its resemblance with alkalis and halogens.
