Differentiate between ‘bangar’ soil and ‘khadar’ soil.
Bhangar soil is older alluvial soil. Large parts of the North Indian Plains are formed of bhangarsoil. The soil presents a terrace-like feature.
Khadar soil is new or younger deposits of alluvium soil on the floodplains. This soil is renewed every year and thus is comparatively more fertile than bhangar soil.
