PRIMITIVE subsistence farming is practiced on small patches of land with the help of primitive tools like hoe, dao and digging sticks and done with the help of family members. This type of farming depends on monsoon, natural fertility of the soil. Suitability of other environmental conditions to the crops grown with increasing population, the pressure on land is continuously increasing. Therefore, in all the densely populated states of India cultivation has become a norm. For example; in Haryana, UP, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
