Describe briefly the regions of the root with the diagram.
Regions of the root are as follow
(i) A thimble-like structure called root cap is present.
(ii) Meristematic region lies just above the root cap extending upto a few millimeters.
(iii) The region of elongation lies proximal to the meristematic region.
(iv) The region of maturation lies just above the region of elongation.
(v) A cluster of root hair arises from the epidermal cells of the region of maturation.
