Describe any three values which the government promotes through the establishment of national parks in the country.

The three values promoted by the government through establishing national parks are as follows :

  1. To safeguard the habitats of endangered species. Regulations are enacted to provide protection to the listed endangered flora and fauna and ecologically important areas.
  2. To control poaching, smuggling and illegal trade in wildlife and its derivatives. No hunting or entry without a proper permit is allowed in national parks.
  3. To conserve total biological diversity. These help to presen/e the ecology and environment of the region.
