Briefly mention the types of RNA

RNA is a single stranded polynucleotide. There are six types of RNA - ribosomal, transfer, messenger, genomic, small nuclear and small cytoplasmic RNA.
(a) rRNA becomes component of ribosomes.
(b) mRNA is copy gene which directs the sequence of amino acids.
© tRNA is carrier for bringing specific amino acid to be incorporated in protein.
(d) Genomic RNA is hereditary material in some viruses.
(e) snRNA is involved is processing of RNAs.
(f) scRNA produces recognition particles
